finally got to try out City of Wolves, and holy cow it's actually solid as hell, im just mad that Ronaldo was the character I had the most fun with, dude has mix and oki for dayz and +90 knockdowns off of EX DP for sum reason :/
is DOA6 Honoka the only character in DOA history that has a low launcher (and I don't mean a 2 part low starter launcher, I mean like a low attack that actually launches)? I feel like that can't be right but I can't recall anyone else having such a move :/
been watching alot of Ninja Gaiden 4 footage lately, and while there is alot of stuff they're bringing back that's cool (UT's, Obliterations, Essence), I can say with confidence that I don't like the UI, call me a purist if you must but offscreen enemy indicators and Spidey Sense style warnings for incoming attacks don't belong in Ninja Gaiden, fingers crossed we can turn that stuff off
anyone else find it ironic that the situation with Switch 2 game cartridges and third party developers is almost beat for beat the same situation that happened with N64 cartridges and third party developers? I'd argue its worse now thanks to atrocious DRM but how did they make the same mistake twice now lol
dawg the arenas in NG4 are massive, no more intense fights in claustrophobic areas where we can take advantage of walls, now we just fighting in large, flat, open areas? as long as the characters can take advantage of the space I guess it's fine
I saw a blonde British man in the new NG4 trailer and my NG3 PTSD kicked in, but then I remembered that Cliff and Regent both die at the end of NG3 so there's no way they could come back...question mark?
welp, I hope the people who spent the last *checks watch* 16 years asking for Ingrid are happy now, personally i've never seen her appeal, she just always came off as a Capcom version of Athena, but hey, more characters are always appreciated
Nintendo beat the scalpers! By producing a console thats both overpriced and underpowered, said console is now fully stocked can now be found at all major retailers at launch, what a genius move!
UMK3 rerelease on modern hardware? imma play this shit till my fingers fall off, I don't even need a MK2 at this point
also, Marvel Fighting game made by Arcsys? feelings are...mixed but optimistic
Welp, it took two years but now every SF6 characters has a whopping 3 costumes! I will never understand SF6's aversion to alternates, it's just leaving free money on the table imo
DMC3 is one of those games when people say "it's the best of it's genre" what they mean is "it's the best of it's genre...once you've added the appropriate mods that offer modern conveniences and options the fans have deemed necessary because the base game is good but dated as fuck" a la Skyrim
So MK1 will continue to receive balance patches despite DLC being discontinued for the game, which is good cause there's alot of underwhelming kameos that see 0 use and some questionable kharacter interactions that make 0 sense so hopefully those get changed
Food for the Soul and Catch me at the Ballpark, 2 anime that belong to the painfully malnourished genre of slice of life starring adults who are either undergrads or full time workers, check 'em out if it sounds like your thing
remember MGSV: Ground Zeroes? that demo that Konami had the balls to charge $40 but everyone went along with it because "well, it's Kojima, he's always doing wacky stuff", how did we let that shit slide at all??? I feel like if any publisher tried something like that today they'd be burned at the stake
welp, with MK1 no longer being supported, every1's speculating about the next NRS game, which is either going to be Injustice 3 or that rumored MCU fighting game, but given how WB is more interested in turning all their games into live service store fronts, I don't even want to think about what their future fighting games will look like under the current WB model :/
Very likely that even if it was done in-house you probably would of still seen it lol.
