    still mind blown how MK1 just fizzled out on such a weak note, and I think it's a much better game than it's predecessor MK11, but popular opinion seems to think otherwise :/

    ^I'm in the same boat, just got a steam deck this year and it runs everything I need it to run just fine, but yeah if it reaches a point where the steam deck is no longer powerful enough, a Steam Machine will be in the cards

    Price will also be factor though, but I trust valve wont try to completely rip us off, only time will tell

    I'm interest in Steam Machine from a good reason to say screw Windows 11 (for whatever garbage they add like Copilot), improve My gaming experience, and perfect to test out for game development.

    The Delta motion (Guile's flash kick super) is one of those inputs I've always had trouble pulling off consistently, but its kinda rare and old school so I've never been forced to learn it,

    Until now, 'cause its in Aquapazza, and it's on a character I really like and will potentially main, fml :/

    It took me years to do the Delta Motion (Chun-Li has it for Hazan Tenshokyaku in the Alpha series) until I finally learn the trick behind it.

    every time I see Yakumo on screen I just wanna grab my clippers and give that boy a haircut, the whole k-pop idol cut with splashes of white dye is not a tough look, it just makes him look like a valorant player :/

    It's just usually covered up on NG. But I think most fans would be cool with playing as Ryu unmasked. It's really Yakumo's style that bugs some people. It's death my association.. even the most innocuous thing can be ruined if you personally associate it with something you don't like, lol.

    recently replayed DOA Dimensions and I had forgotten that Ryu has some luscious hair worthy of a L'oreal commercial, but his is fine, parted bangs with a low ponytail, it's simple and it looks cool, Yakumo's hair on the other hand...I don't who it's supposed to appeal to, but it certainly ain't me lol

    Console gaming in the future is gonna be so fucked, either you're overpaying for underperforming hardware or your paying over 1k for some console/pc hybrid when spending that money on a pc just makes alot more sense :/

    I hope it lasts long, though. My gaming PC started deteriorating in performance after 4 years of use. Some of the games that ran on 70-80fps at 1080p max now goes down to 55-65fps without changing the build. My Xbox One X still performs the same as it did 7 years ago.

    Some companies might start using the Xbox-PC hybrid for work purposes if it lasts longer than a typical office computer.

    A Steam Deck would constitute "underperforming" hardware at this point, but is the best priced out of the handheld gaming PC's. Microsoft definitely seems to be moving towards the console/PC hybrid, though I'm concerned about what Sony would be doing considering how they tested the waters with the $960 CAD PS5 Pro. Nintendo and their Switches will be a mainstay in the "overpaying for underperforming hardware" niche.

    currently replaying NG2 with the caveat that I can only use weapons that I rarely play with, them being the vigoorian flail, tonfas, dual swords, and talons, and woo boy, NG2 is already a hard game, but add using weapons you're woefully unfamiliar with and the difficulty spikes to a whole new level :/

    hot take; not mad over Halo CE not having multiplayer, since i'm part of the small sect of gamers who appreciates a FPS that focuses on having a strong single player campaign, although the idea of releasing Halo 1 for a 3rd time is still an odd decision

    The same could be same for Gears of War Reloaded, except that has multiplayer for PS and Xbox.
    There's even rumors that Halo 2 and 3 will receive campaign remakes as well with no multiplayer.
    IMO just rerelease Halo MCC on PS. That could revive that game. Most just play H3.

    lol, I didn't even realize it was the game's anniversary, but naw I've just been diving into Bayo 3 again and I came across this blasphemous misinformation

    also yeah Luka (and by extension Rodin) are taller than Bayo, meaning that if Bayo is 7 ft tall then those guys are like a good 8 ft, why is everyone in the Bayo universe so dam lanky lol

    it is a weird time to be into Pokemon, with the last couple of console Pokemon releases being less than stellar, they at least had some excuse for being awful, but this latest game Pokemon Legend ZA has no excuse, and now Pokemon fans have just gone full mask off and it is unsettling

    the effect this man has had on my life, in the games he's made that have shaped me and lead me to great communities like this one, to his game design philosophy which has slowly trickled into my own, to say he's had an impact on me would be an understatement, and it is truly sad to see him gone

    replayed Bayo 3 to put myself in the right mindset for Ninja Gaiden 4, but instead I just ended up reminding why myself why Bayo 3 is my least favorite Bayo game by a long shot :/

    the action gets broken up by too many set pieces, so the game flows like a river of bricks, never being able to maintain a good pace,

    the game REALLY pushes the new demon slave mechanic at the expense of the melee combat feeling weak across the board, and while dual welding kaijus looks cool, it would make more sense in an Astral Chain sequel, not a Bayonetta game

    fingers crossed none of this stuff shows up in NG4

    DBZF is getting yet another major overhaul and a new dlc character (ssj4 Goku Daima ver.), partly excited, partly exasperated by how long this game has been going on for, and partly wondering what heck is gonna be left for DBZF 2? Or is the plan to just update and overhaul the original game till the heat death of the universe, kinda like xenoverse 2

    tin foil hat time; I genuinely believe the reason why DBZF 2 isn't a priority is because making a current gen sequel with modern hardware isn't going to do much to improve the DBZF experience, so after porting the original to every platform they're content to just build on it's foundation, which is an interesting tactic

    we've gotten so used to fighting games being around for 3-6 years and then getting a massive update in the form of a sequel, but seems like the devs want to try something different with DBZF, and while it is commendable, as a super casual player coming back to DBZF after an overhaul is kinda annoying, because everything you remember doesn't work and you have to essentially re-learn the game all over again :/

    Since I'm in my "buying old consoles cuz current consoles ain't shit" era, ive been thinking of getting a 3DS, even though most its exclusives have been ported to the Switch or PC, there are a handful of gems that are still locked behind it that id like to get my hands on

    @Derock I say 3DS, but more than likely I'll be getting a 2DS XL, or whatever the largest 3DS I can get that is compatible with circle pad pro

    @Yuffie yeah, recently got a 360 and a box full of games for dirt cheap, modding is definitely on the table at some point but for now I'm just enjoying the old stuff

    first there was the "Angela's not sexy enough" nonsense with the SH2 remake, which if you know her backstory you understand that saying such a thing is fucking wild, and now there's the Silent hill f controversy with "fans" claiming the game to be woke because it *gasp* focuses on issues that are unique to the female experience, like okay...

    first off, SH3 already did that and it's regarded as one of the best SH games out there, so we retroactively hate SH3 now? and second can we just retire the word woke at this point? nobody is using that word correctly and everyone who complains about stuff being woke can't define it for shit :/

    It's really, really dumb. If there's one thing I miss about generation 6 or earlier, it's people having the appearance of more common sense. I essentially disregard anyone's opinion that uses the term "woke" unironically now.
