It's safe to say DMC5 > Nier Automata, despite Nier being a much longer game and a big world experience which is what I liked about Nier. Think the only DMC game that was similar (kinda) was DMC1 but that was back on the PS2.

I just remembered that Akira was the epitome of actual powerful neutral and was incredibily versatile. He checks opponents for poor offense and poor defense in DOA5, and not a single character in the roster for 6 can do that super well except slightly Hayate, Ayane, and Rig. Momiji in 5 is also a candidate but she was leagues below these characters.
