I will definitely try him out. Didn't really like him in Dimensions but after the release of Salad with everyone saying she's their new main and TN claiming that she's the "staff favorite" fighter I'm worried for the future of our male fighters and want to show support that they've added another one.

Welp, that's doad raidou alright... except worse!

His 6 p+k which was a good guard break at +5 or so is now negative! wooo!
And 236k is now -5 when it was +3!
His 4 p+k used to be a guard break uncharged but now it looks to be his power blow...
daw, his super OH only does 90 damage instead of 100.

The only good things I can see out of this is: that EWGF I think is a i14 high crush that safe if done perfectly
33kp is now 0 on block, it was unsafe before.
pp4pk is now +2 when it was - before.
6pp is now safe on block
His new 8p is a sitdown stun
4pk is safe now
His throws are still powerful, underworld drop does 85 on nh and he has an i10 65 damage throw.
Oh wow I just realized, he has an i5 unbreakable 6T. LOL I guess they forgot to change his doad throw speed.

Here's to hoping his 2 h+k still trips even on a grazing hit. And that his 2p is still not -3 on nh. Tough times are ahead.. sigh.

He sounds like Hayabusa except much better.

Comparable poke speed, better safety/advantage/pressure, better throws and better OHs.

Then again, Hayabusa is a worthless sack of shit now so I guess that doesn't necessarily mean a lot. Still, something.

Yeah maybe, I dunno what they were thinking with Ryu, taking out his two best pressure tools, I dunno what he has now, 64T? Bleh.


And Raidous 6t better not be breakable or his fastest unbreakable throw will be i10!

They weren't really pressure tools. After 5U he's only had one legitimate pressure tool and it's incredibly fucking stupid. So he still has that, I guess.

A character based on one strike and expert holds: Ryu Hayabusa.

This game is fucking dumb.

Rig's 4T is i5 but breakable IIRC. Raidou's might be the same way.
And Raidous 6t better not be breakable or his fastest unbreakable throw will be i10!
I can't help but find this hilarious.

I would like to remind you guys that Rig didn't actually have a 4T and that was Chapstick simply mistaking normal T with something that does not exist.

Which means that a) either this is the first unbreakable 5i throw in the game or b) this is the first breakable command throw in the entire series.

I'm leaning towards a being true and even if it is, it doesn't do that much damage and it's a really minor gimmicky thing because anything between 5i and 10i is missing.

Oh, whoops. Disregard what I said then. An i5 unbreakable is a really good tool that from what I can tell he could really use. Makes his T absolutely useless

JW how'd you get 90 damage for OH and 85 damage for underworld drop? The OH numbers add up to 90 and the throw numbers are well over 100. TN's combo throw info is always confusing AF to read

He seems way unsafe as far as I can see, but he may have some underlying strength with tech we may not be aware of.

Also, if Electric actually crushes highs, that actually justifies the -6 on guard, otherwise it's unnecessary lack of safety for a GB move and pointless.

Oh it didn't even occur to me his ewgf might crush highs... that might be his saving grace. And I just remembered he has a NH stunning low so there's at least one way to get something going with him

His 2 h+k also caused a full trip in doad even if you hit with the end of the move, and it had a lot of range like momijis, I hope it still has the same properties.

Seems to have a good bit of deep stuns. I'd probably play him like Alpha and just stun/launch once people start fearing his throw. Also is it me or does Raidou seem to launch higher than other characters? Or maybe it's some camera tricks?
