That apex player who was raging at SFV during the AT&T tournament, while it was entertaining it was also a reminder, that for all the dumbing down and gap closing devs try to implement, fighting games are still hard af for regular ass people
going back to a 3 point hold system is what trips me up the most when going back to DOA2/3, i'll see these slow ass mid kicks coming my way and there I am inputting a hold that doesn't even exist lol
Been playing alot of Phantom Breaker and it kills me how everyone you meet online is either below rank 5 with a 10-20% winrate or they're above rank 20 above with a 80-90% winrate, there is no inbetween lol
SNK is now owned by the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia? the same Prince who owns a chunk of Activion Blizzard, EA, and Capcom? wut the helllllll is up with that?
wanna live life on hard mode? try explaining the 400 hundred year old dragon loli trope to a person who doesn't watch anime and see if you don't end up on a FBI watchlist
<- my face when Mihoyo gets off their coomer shit and designs a male character
<- my face when they sabotage their sales by drip marketing 2-3 waifus that'll be released next patch
imagine complaining about 5pp into throw being "fake" and "online only" when your ass is out here doing 6p into throw on neutral hit, counter hit and block...the nerve of some ppl -_-
BOTW2 is getting delayed..AGAIN! oh well, if they honestly feel like they need another year to work on it then screw it, no need to put out a rushed product
Phatom Breaker is one of the few games i've played in recent memory that REALLY punishes you for using normal block, not only is the chip damage mad high, not only does your guard gauge fill up quickly, but it seems like everything outside of DP's and supers are safe if blocked normally
gotta love the disparity of aerial hitboxes in DOA, some characters take to the freakin' skies but you can still hit them with throws and lows somehow (Kula, Ryu, Nyo) while others go airborne and their hitboxes just disappear into the void (Phase, Hayate, Ayane, Lisa) :/
Phantom Breakers groove system is great (and I wish more fighting games did stuff like it) but it makes the all too common mistake of making 1 groove that's clearly better than the others, thus giving you no reason to explore the other grooves at all :/
or maybe she's just real bad at delegating lol
