    so they're adding OTG's, multiple juggle states, and restands into SFV; what's weird about that is that all those things existed in SFV in the pre-release footage but they removed them when the game launched, and now 6 years later they're putting them back in? weird...

    always worrying when a franchise you like goes dormant for a few years and comes back with a gacha title, at that point you're just hoping that they're building funds and exposure for the next real game and they're not content to just sell Jpegs for ludicrous amounts of money :/
    welp, Phatom Breaker Omnia finally got released, and it sure does feel like a fighting game that was made in 2010 i.e dated looking sprites, absolutely 0 tutorialization, and alot of jank

    if you can get over that it's a blast to play, but im a sucker for early 2000's jank anime fighters so my opinion is biased af lol
    TMNT Tournament Fighters being ported to modern hardware with online capabilities? maybe this'll pave the way for other SNES fighters that ppl still play to get ported, like Ranma Hard Battle or Sailor Moon S, it's doubtful but a man can dream

    I agree. In SF & KI having 6 attack buttons is annoying as hell because it only leaves two other buttons for macros (which is basically just Triple P & Triple K in SFV for instance). I highly appreciate how KOF and Anime fighters just have 4 primary attack buttons (which can be just mapped to your 4 primary buttons). 3D fighters have it right with only 3 or 4 main buttons too. Allows for a lot more flexibility.

    actually now that i've thought about it a bit, having 6 buttons isn't the issue, it's having 6 ATTACK buttons that grinds my gear, cause I play MK and technically it is a 6 button fighter, but only 4 of your buttons are for attacks, the other 2 are relegated to block and stance flip (which you rarely use outside of inputting X-rays/Fatal Blow)

    Even other games I play like AH3 and Nitroplus Blasterz have 5 button layouts, but not ALL of those buttons are for offense, some are for defensive techniques, movement options, or a highly situational attack, so yeah, I don't have have beef with 6 button layouts, it's just when every single one of those 6 buttons is an attack is when my face goes :/
    Imagine spending time getting nice at an arena fighter, learning true combos, unblockable setups and 2 touch kill sequences, Imagine doing all that work, just to lose to someone doing an infinite that consists of mashing jump light attack

    was talking about Shinovi Versus, but honestly this can extend to alot of arena fighters, they all have these hidden depths that make them a blast to optimize, but alongside that they all have really easily exploitable cheapness that anyone with room temperature IQ can abuse, but dealing with all that is just part of the experience lol
    been rewatching/reading alot of Rumiko Takahashi stuff lately, never noticed that every female character she draws is 75% legs, 25% upper body, it's quite hilarious
    Honoka 6pk- not a true mid but the hitbox is low enough to catch moves with mid crush frames

    Bass 214p- a true mid but due to it's crappy hitbox can still lose to moves with mid crush frames

    I thought needlessly sexualized furry bait was Sonic Team's M.O, but it looks like Hal Labratory is giving it a shot with these new Kirby boss designs :/

    I have played it multiple times, I love it, only complaints, the default controls are boo boo, but thankfully u can opt for a more traditional 3D action setup which is unheard of in Nintendo games, and the secrets are piss easy to find, but it's a demo of the first world, hopefully they get harder to find as the game progresses (like dreamland 2/super star level of hard)

    KoF15 or Elden Ring, decisions decisions, and after that we have the new Kirby game and Chrono Cross Remastered coming out in close succession, my wallet can't keep up :(

    in all honestly, KoF15 can wait and Elden Ring i'll have to wait cause PC version is butts rn

    Kirby i'll have to buy at full price cause first party Nintendo game never go on sale and take forever to get reduced, and fingers cross Chrono Cross Remaster is sold at budget price, i/e 40-50$
    So, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet huh? Really not feeling the name, nor am I feeling the new starters, fingers crossed seeing gameplay will get me on board

    Its like some people are upset that Akihiko Azrael can OHKO you at the start of the game in BBTAG as if every tag fighter after MvC3 isn't more or less built that way, bro, if you know that those characters have that type of synergy combo-wise then why do you press buttons at the start of the round? With tag fighters one must learn to accept all of its faults and bullcrap in order to have fun with them.
    usually not a fan of the twin tail loli types in fighting games, but Sylvie (KoF14) was alright, certainly helps that they leaned more into her being crazy rather than some overly cutesy type

    It helps that Sylvie looks like a character Yoshitaka Amano would've designed. She looks very much like his version of Eiko from Final Fantasy IX.
    Resident Evil 6 had a logo that got laughed at, Street Fighter 6's logo is getting a similar treatment, what is with Capcom and the 6th entries in their franchise having hilarious logos?
    y'know, if TN is never gonna touch DOA6 again the least they can do is symmtrize the roster, looking at that asymmetrical character selection is legit one my biggest pet peeves when i play lol

    @Force_of_Nature as someone creating fighting game mock-ups... I say the developer would have to put 30 characters in a circular format then put one character in the center (preferably a boss/former boss or some extremely powerful protagonist-type character). I might need to provide an example with 39 characters. Because, making a fighting game with "odd" number of characters can get awkward.

    @Force_of_Nature my initial low effort solution would be to take the bottom 3 character slots (Rachel, Momiji, Tamaki), move them 2 slots over, change random select from a character slot to a button press, (which I think they did at some point in DOA5) and voila, a much cleaner select screen
