... but these Akira combos are created by friendly FSD member, @DestructionBomb! This fun combo exhibition can give you a pretty good idea on what tools need to be used to perform as Akira (knee). While not all of these combos are guaranteed, they are still pretty useful.
Does DB troll throughout the video? Well I guess that's up to you to decide, but don't expect button inputs or any hud at all for that matter. Pull off the combos for yourself via training you lazy scrub.
If you're looking for an "anime overload" or perhaps just some cool moves from Marie Rose... check out this combo video from @Princess Kasumi for some MR goodness and relish the vibrant colors you all claim are missing from Dead or Alive 5.
Crazy Steady has won the next chapter of The Road to TFC guaranteeing a free trip next month with room and board included. Thanks to 'Pwnit!' for sponsoring this amazing player who ended the Cali Crush tournament with Hajin Shinobi in an exciting set that you can catch on UGC Live.
You can check out the full bracket at Challonge. Congrats to all Cali Crush players! What a great tournament to showcase what the West Coast players can do!
Today, DOA is getting CRUSHED by the DOA community on the West Coast. If you're not in attendance be sure to watch the stream at UGC Live starting at 2pm PT. This will be Nyo Tengu's first Major, and first place will win a free trip to TFC 14 next month.
Next month will be one of the biggest events in Dead or Alive tournament history: The Fall Classic '14. Not only will Last Round be playable at this tournament, but $8,000 will be up for grabs. This tournament also marks the first DOA tournament in the states to have European and Japanese players.
Only 35 people have decided to pre-register so far, and we promote getting registered now to help tournament officials plan accordingly. At Summer Jam 8 we had well over 100 people. Because of the perks, and the payout we should definitely have the same kind of attendance at TFC.
If you haven't signed up yet, take a look at the registration page today and continue to support DOA as the great competitive fighter that it is.
If you take a look at Koei Tecmo's lineup of games for this TGS, the diamond happens to be Last Round, which will also be DOA's first appearance on PS4 and XBOX ONE. The game will be shown on stage and will be playable on the floor.
The trailer was displayed at Team NINJA's Fighting Carnival tournament last week, and several changes were noticed right away in the 60 second clip such as more visual flair, and new stages.
Staying tuned to TGS could prove to be important for any players looking for new moves and system changes! Who knows, maybe we will even see a new stage or character.
@Gill Hustle attended Summer Jam 8 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania this past weekend, and during that time he had his camcorder going. He is in the process of making a behind-the-scenes look at the event. What's notable about his project is it appears to show all of the great moments that go on outside of the tournament matches themselves. For example, the before/after parties and casual meet-ups going on around the event.
He has released a trailer for his project, so be sure to take a sneak peek and leave a comment on your thoughts about his project. Hopefully, as our tournament scene continues to grow we will see more players' sharing their experiences.
Summer Jam 8 was a great tournament not only for high quality matches, but for amazing attendance and an appearance from Team NINJA's Creative Director, Tom Lee. Check out his interview now:
Community member, @LordXav1er has also made a point to upload some intense Summer Jam 8 casuals with: @Jaeger, Dallaz, @Shade, @Blackburry, Etro and @Sly Bass. Check them all about below!
Dead or Alive 5 Last Round was officially unveiled in Japan at the Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate Arcade
Fighting Carnival less than 48 hours ago. Shortly afterward, right before the top eight contenders
squared off at Summer Jam 8, Team NINJA Creative Director Tom Lee took the stage to introduce
North American audiences to the title and let everyone know the platforms the game would call home. Today we have the official unveiling and announcement of the title, along with some major additional information. The unveiling naturally includes the English announcement trailer, so be sure to check that out below before reading on for the details. Yes, that includes pricing.
The game will be launching on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in Spring of 2015. Distribution avenues for the title will vary based on console generation. On PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, it will be available at retail in physical form and through Xbox Live and PlayStation Network as...
With the hype between tournaments, Nyo Tengu's release, and the announcement of Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, here are results for all fantastic tournaments to keep you updated all in one place:

Speaking from the main stage of Summer Jam 8, Team NINJA Creative Director Tom Lee has just confirmed that Dead or Alive 5 Last Round will be hitting all consoles DoA5U has already released on as well Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The same teaser shown earlier today in Japan at the DoA5U Summer Carnival by Hayashi Yosuke was shown on stage (in English this time) and the game will be arriving Spring 2015. It was also confirmed to be the final Dead or Alive 5 installment. Please continue the discussion below!
Update: The Japanese trailer has been released! Check below for my analysis and be sure to add anything I might have missed!
Crimson returns as a playable stage. The time of day seems exactly the same from DoA2U and there is a lot more going on in the background. Later shots of the stage don't confirm it but the hidden room is likely going to return. Wonder what knocking someone into the...
"Team Best" presents a new trailer showcasing the West Coast Road to TFC starting with Cali Crush 10 days after the release of Nyo Tengu. Expect some clutch competition, and great players. A special thanks goes out to Team NINJA for this incredible opportunity! Good luck to all participants not only with the competition, but with your studying beforehand as well.
This weekend will be the second of four Road to the Fall Classic events. The first was Dead or Alive in Dallas 10 (DID10) with Emmanuel " @MASTER " Rodriguez taking first place and Matt " @SweetRevenge117 " Kieffer taking second. Just like DID10, the top two players of Summer Jam 8 will be given paid airfare, hotel, and tournament entry to Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate at The Fall Classic this October 10th courtesy of Team NINJA.
Another educational stream is scheduled for today, Tuesday August 26th. If any of you made it to the last class, then you know this stream will have some meaty information for those wanting to dig deep into the hidden worlds of DOA. Find out how you can get involved in this FREE stream today!
This stream will mainly be a discussion between the Chat (Students) and the Host (MASTER). In this stream we'll talk more about 'Hidden Frame Data' which was discussed in the previous class and how useful it can be to find unholdable situations after an opponent tech rolls. In this case we will talk about how it can be used for when the opponent does NOT tech roll. We will also discuss combo string frame data and how to read it properly since it can be tricky. Hopefully everyone can keep up with this class and let's try to get as many people involved as possible. The more students in class the more...
Capcom has decided to sue Koei-Tecmo over patent infringement for 50 titles for about 9.43 million. However, this patent started back in 2002, before games like Dead or Alive: Ultimate were even released. So, I wonder what this will do to Team NINJA, and how they are involved.
Another patent was mentioned that KT copied a controller vibrating feature for invite notifications that has "greatly contributed" to Tecmo's game sales. I'm sorry... to those that are blind and deaf at the same time!?
Capcom is looking for 5-10% in licensing fees. They're also demanding that several Koei Tecmo games are suspended in sales.
This Tuesday, Master plans to teach more hidden techniques on his Twitch but would like to see participation from the community during this live event. If you want to know what it takes to be a DOA master, you might want to stop by Twitch tomorrow and be prepared to learn.
Last week he educated the community on unholdable moves but deleted the video afterwards. Since these classes will not be archived it's important to try and watch live.
Pwnit! has announced that they will be sponsoring the winners of both Cali Crush (September 13, 2014 in Los Angeles, CA) and GUTS3 (September 19-21, 2014 in CT) in partnership with the Road to The Fall Classic and Team NINJA. First place winners from both events will have travel and hotel for TFC (September 10-12, 2014 in Raleigh, NC) taken care of by our friends at Pwnit! making the Road to TFC a coast-to-coast effort to ensure the best players in the country attend the tournament. The first qualifier has already taken place in Dallas with DiD10, but there are now three remaining chances to earn your way to TFC!

If the recent Summer Jam 8 news wasn't enough, this might be, another free entry tournament complements of our good friend @Vandy. KIT 15 not only has DOA5U enlisted, but the entry is free (with a 500 USD Prize Pot guaranteed). Let's start taking advantage of these opportunities we are being given.
KIT is a great event. 2014's showing wasn't the highest for numbers, but the quality of the matches and player skill was through the roof. Great talent, and in my opinion the best DOA tournament so far this year.
You also have to consider how great of a deal the free entry really is. The tournament is not for another half a year, and you already know. Let's go for higher numbers this time around, and let's give @Vandy a big thank you.
Get all the info you need in our KIT thread, and let's make next...
If you're looking for more useless, but "fun" DLC you're going to have a field day tomorrow! Why look like a bad ass ninja when you can look like someone that cleans houses? I don't know, but if you are feeling the need for something new (kind of), check out the new trailer for the maid outfits the latest fetish trend brought to you by Team NINJA!
Big E made a Summer Jam 8 announcement earlier today that 94 people have registered for DOA5U, now beating out games like Soul Calibur V and Tekken Tag 2 in attendance. Big E sweetens the deal further by announcing that if the game caps at 128 fighters there will be free pizza for all players and that he's even allowing registration at the door.
Not only this, but the prize pot is 1,000 USD with the winner getting a free trip to TFC. If you haven't gotten registered for god's sake, make it a priority! Take a look at Big E's easy to use website and get your way into Summer Jam 8! Summer Jam 8 is a great chance at making a name for yourself, and all competitive players should at least consider it with its promising numbers and massive perks.
As we patiently wait for upcoming tournaments and the release of Nyo-Tengu, you might be wondering what you can do now to keep from getting bored. There are lots of ways to play DOA, and if you're not improving your skills by just playing, there are other ways to learn new things. Twitch is a great tool for this, and this post will highlight some of these channels.
UGS Live manned by none other than @Gill Hustle. He's the most active Dead or Alive streamer to my knowledge, and his stream is packed with all sorts of content from PSN matches, to free training to combo challenges. Expect to see Gill on Twitch often.
Master's Twitch is great tool for all aspiring Hayabusa players. If you want to learn more about the complex character, you can get tips and feedback from @MASTER live. Not to mention the bad ass matches he competes in.
Someone I know gifted me Tekken 8. I feel bad considering I haven't been in a fighting game grind for years, and I prefer to not be the guy to go "I'll take another game".
Nothing against Tekken 8, but I just can't see myself grinding another fighting game and starting over. I barely play DOA or VF as it is already lol. I legitimately don't have a reason to play it. At minimum, probably play with a friend.
currently replaying NG2 with the caveat that I can only use weapons that I rarely play with, them being the vigoorian flail, tonfas, dual swords, and talons, and woo boy, NG2 is already a hard game, but add using weapons you're woefully unfamiliar with and the difficulty spikes to a whole new level :/
Idk why Ayane has fascinated me lately. I used to dislike her, but its like now I truly understand why she's the way she is, she has something to prove to those who wronged her and she refuses to let her past shape who she grows into. You have to give her grace for how she was treated as a child tbh.
