    I liked how Nishitani (of ARIKA) played up his SF origin roots with his SF2 backgrounds, lol. He rarely spoke but when he did it was all about netcode. Apparently Fighting EX Layer is on sale now so check it out. I feel like playing it now but my PS4 is still dead... :/

    Playing DOA 5:LR & learning Akira & Mai and I realized, Akira was kinda playing DOA, Tekken, & VF w/ the + on block jab and good movement. It's crazy for me to see that. I missed out on learning the VF's fr.

    I've been seeing people arguing over "just lab the characters" and stuff over twitter. I guess here's my perspective on it. If you disagree you disagree: Labbing isn't enough! But at the same time, players have to actually show commitment to labbing & improving.

    Whenever I see Arslan stream against one of the Pakistani players I see them use characters other than their mains many times. Koreans play a lot of characters online too, Knee reached TGP with all of the characters online. Labbing out the characters will never be enough since you might know what to do about x or y move/string but you're primarily fighting the player, not the character, who knows his and your tools.

    Which he or she then proceeds to mold into his playstyle, in order to counter that, you need to know the tools of the opponents character while looking out for the tools that your opponent will most likely use and react to it accordingly, whether it is a sidestep punish, a low parry, you name it, you have to see certain moves coming, can't react to all of them, especially online.

    Well w/ the conference coming up: Here's what I expect at this point:
    T7: Season 4 (Kiryu reveal)
    SC VI: Setsuka
    SFV: C Viper or something
    GG/BB: some character/stuff
    DOA: stuff (probably nothing at all).
    DBFZ: some new characters
    SNK: KOF XV stuff, Samurai Shodown stuff

    Thanks to my 2 tb external hard drive, was able to get many PS now games, which bolstered my library. All I am looking for now is for fighters: GranBlue, Samurai Shodown, KOF XIV, & MK 11 and for sports: Madden & FIFA. Kinda happy about my library.

    BlazBlue Cross Tag was $4. It's a steal for me. Adding another to the arsenal.

    You can buy S1 characters in 3-4 character packs or getting all 20(?) of them by buying the season pass. You can only get the S2 characters by buying the season pass, so if you just want to play with 1-2 characters from S2, then unfortunately you'll have to spend like 20-25 dollars for that.

    I ended up spending 35$ just to get 2 guest character cause of the way the way they split up the DLC, while the base roster offers plenty i've already played all of these characters in their home games, so I already knew who I was and wasn't going to play from the getgo, it was a steep price to pay but hey, I got to rock with my girls Heart and Yumi so it was worth

    Played through DOA 6's story again.... Honoka and Marie Rose are absolute jokes of characters and every scene I see them in is so laughably unbelievable, it's literally Dora the explorer w/ a couple fights.

    Thinking through some possible next game options. MK11 or KOF XIV (prep for KOF XV). I'm leaning towards MK for the E-sports value but idk. With that too I could buy another sports game as well.

    I like that you continue to try and find other options. Props. There's a list of fighting games but they all come with time and preparation. Fighting games take time to even be decent unless you are multi-talented and adapt fast.

    Most cases, you have to grind it out for months even, and you have to continue playing said game. I wouldn't dig into MK for the Esports value, but you should get into it because you want to.

    I can play KoF14 but not MK11 since that game puts me to sleep. HMU if you're interested in some sets and tips.

    Looking at urban reign from the masood vid makes me realize yet again that I missed out on some gems from my childhood days. Plus the video's hilarious. I hope they bring it back maybe as part of a dlc bundle. I'd like to play it a bit.

    Masood's videos have been improving in quality as of late, Tendo's are still the best though. You could try to get it running via pcsx2, don't know what specs you need in order to run the game properly though. I'm still finding a lot of hidden gems of older console generations, it does help to increase my library by a lot (to the point where I have a massive backlog with barely any time to get to those games).

    A few people have been asking Harada about a Tekken collection, whether it could be a thing in the future or not and he did ask afterwards whether people would be interested in having one or not, so Urban Reigns coming back in the future might be a possibility if enough people would show their interest about the game.

    This list is wrong, it's not physically possible for NiCO to be below the "Pocket/Potential Tournament Character". If you have a pulse, you can play NiCO.

    After some time playing DBFZ and SFV, I think the combo-oriented 2d's suit my style so far. But I do like SF's neutral style more. If only SF didn't feel so stiff. But though I still have no decisive main now, I think I have an idea where I might be heading.

    Meanwhile in Tekken, Been having fun using Miguel and Dragunov and Lee (Offline practice). I feel like a new goal of trying to become a mokujin might be a motivation for myself. But Idk. We'll see.

    I guess it's time to explore the 2d world more. Working through SF and maybe Dragonball FighterZ. We'll see what other major E-Sport fighting games are there and I'll explore that as well. Still will be on Tekken and I'll just pick random on DOA and see where that goes. But I guess it's time to branch out more.

    Its unfortunate but I believe that it is better to remember the times when he had fun with the game and with the series than become more and more toxic ala TMM during the Tag 2 days by forcing himself to play it for the sponsorship, wealth and for the sake of streaming it, ain't no fun in playing what you don't enjoy playing anymore.

    Many streamers/fg players are branching out trying to play more fighters (or even games in general), a thing that the fgc kind of needs in order to spice things up, even better if the skills accumulated from one game carry over to the other game, be that a main or a sub one.

    It's time for me to venture out. Doesn't mean I'm never playing Tekken or anything. It's just best for my own mental. I don't want to keep going on DOA/Tekken rants and continue frustrating myself losing over & over in online tourneys & stuff. It's time for me to step back, learn some new things, lab and learn more about Tekken offline, and try to re-kindle a love for FG's.

    Speedkicks retiring's kinda sad in regards to Tekken. He's one of the few NA players that kept me interested in T7 at this point and to see him gone's kinda sad. But hope for the best.

    Not a fan of Apex. I don't really like battle royal shooters. I might try again in a while but not huge into it. I do like Overwatch. However, when I play, I end up playing w/ people much higher ranked and because of that, I end up in games w/ platinums and above and die. And I'm not a fan of ranked anything in regards to shooters.

    Fair enough Apex Legends is an acquired taste and is basically a battle royale for people not really into Fortnite or PUBG. Overwatch is great, and a very original game. Similar to a First-Person MOBA. But yes, these games force you to "Git Gud" which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Compared to FG's, the level of competition is naturally a lot higher on average.

    Overwatch & Smite are similar to me so I can tolerate Overwatch. It's just when it gets to ranked & stuff as I'm not big on ranked. But I'm also getting DBFZ and in due time, gonna dive more into the FG & sport's game genres so I play more than just Tekken, DOA, & 2k. Apex will take a bit. I feel overall in shooters, after Black Op's 1 I went down and can't really get the groove back.

    Tbh, being in the lab to myself has been putting a big smile on my face more than anything online or anything related to that. No wonder Dexter be happy in his lab on the cartoons.

    I see Kiryu might be coming and well it's something I guess. Still don't want anymore characters but I guess 2-3 more can suffice. So long as the system's movement, SS, and stuff get's buffed. Otherwise, it'd be S3 all over again.

    So many things in Tekken would be easier to manage if the movement & defensive options were buffed. More I play, the more I continue to think the modern fighting game don't want you to play a fundamental style.

    Can King put you in f'd up situations? Hell yeah. Does King have versatile tools that actually suit the modern FG? Yes. Will it ever be seen outside Majin and a select group of Kings? No. Why? cause the game's system reduces the player base to the same gameplan w/ no real adjustments. I haven't even seen a King do the King wavedash outside a select few.

    If it already worked on other players and they can get dubs regardless, why have the incentive to change the gameplan? That's the biggest problem with Tekken and the Modern day FG's from a gameplay perspective. And until this changes, tbh Tekken and the other fg's will eventually run out the competitive base. We see players even going to other genre's rather than grind FG's.

    But that's also due to some other things that've been hitting the news as well. It's just crazy and more of this stuff tbh just keeps piling on my head and it kinda kills me in a way. 2020's depressing and well it makes me lose faith in things tbh. But I guess that's my thoughts for now.

    I wonder if I played competitively during the t5/VF3/DOA3 era or something like that, would I enjoy fg's more or less? Maybe I wouldn't suck cheeks like I do now & forever. One can only wonder.

    But then again, if many things went different, maybe I'd be in a better place. I can only dream of such things. Welp. Back to sucking and going 0-2 or 0-6 in tourney's again. At least playing Bass was interesting for a moment (not really).
