This summer Dead or Alive 6 has been part of a special Wednesday Night Fights (WNF) series that gives NorCal and SolCal fighters a chance to qualify for Summer Jam 2019 as part of the road to the finals for the Dead or Alive 6 World Championship. Level Up's event tonight at 8pm PST will determine who qualifies based on the number of points they have accrued throughout this series.

On June 5th iApprentice won the first 50 points by defeating Hajin's legendary Ayane and Domo's Kokoro playing as Eliot. Apprentice dominated this event and it's clear that his experience since maining Eliot in Dead or Alive 5 has transitioned nicely to DOA6 despite Eliot's plethora of gameplay changes.

July 3rd iApprentice scored himself 50 points for the series leader board utilizing the likes of Brad...

Team NINJA unveiled a brand new season for DOA6, and it all begins with a brand new stage just in time for the summer. This stage is none other than Seaside Eden, and it comes with a swimsuit costume pack for 26 characters and 12 additional tracks.

Seaside Eden continues the beach theme much like previous DOA games, but this one came with a few bells and whistles. Falling coconuts, slip stuns, and rebounding volleyball nets are one thing to watch out for, but the main draw of the stage is a special Danger Zone that triggers the use of dolphins. It may also interest you that this is the first DOA stage to incorporate Stage Fatalities where if you use the Fatal Blow near the gate, it will send your opponent flying across the ocean.

At the end of the trailer shows the reveals for Season Pass 2. There will be 15 new costumes in August and an additional character will be joining the roster in September, alongside with 26 additional costumes. Will it be a returning...

A couple of months ago prior to DOA6's release, Team Ninja announced that Mai Shiranui and another guest character from The King of Fighters series would be joining the roster. It was later to be revealed that K' Team's own Ice Doll, Kula Diamond, would be the latest guest character joining the fray alongside with Mai in the latest DLC trailer for DOA6.

Mai needs no introduction. She retains most of her signature moves that were featured in DOA5 Last Round, along with additional new moves taken from KOF14 such as her Climax Super Special Move, Shiranui-Ryuu Ougi Kunoichi. Kula brings the uniqueness to the roster with her ice-based attacks that can freeze her opponents during combos, making it the first in the series to utilize ice elements in DOA.

Version 1.05 Report

Team NINJA's latest patch for Dead or Alive 6 is a questionable one that fixes some minuscule annoyances, but also manages to create new problems while major glitches and bugs continue to exist in their current fighting system. Changes to the Side Attack (SA) and gauge meter are the most controversial adjustments, and will be the main focal point of this news post. Though it's worth mentioning that a low number of negligible character balance changes continue within this patch and you can peruse the patch notes via Team NINJA's official website.

The gauge meter now changes to purple once 100% filled, and is now divided up into four separate blocks. Each block is worth 50 gauge points, and is the new cost of inputting an SA. Because of this, you can no longer freely combine the SA to hit environments or...

The Dead or Alive 6 World Championship kicked off in Lyon, France at The Mixup 2019 with XcaliburBladeZ taking home the prized belt defeating Gehaktbal in Grand Finals. This tournament was a great reminder to the FGC that DOA6 is a true offline experience and is at its best in an esports environment. Top 8 was full of surprises and clutch fights, but the game also shined in pools where players like Bonus Stage, Bram's and Dr. Impact floored everyone spectating.

Since DOA6 released last month, young BladeZ has won 7 events with 5 of them being consecutive NLBC victories. Now that players are becoming more familiar with the new system, it will be interesting to see how many more professional and newcomers alike start attending these big events to attempt throwing off this nearly unstoppable beast. Dead or Alive 4's Special Wake-up Attack Glitch Returns

  • 2,733
  • 7
The buffering glitch originating in Dead or Alive 4 has resurrected in Dead or Alive 6. This glitch did not occur in Dead or Alive Dimensions or Dead or Alive 5, but found its way back with Dead or Alive 6.

If you perform a move that uses your special wake-up attack's input, and are then put on the ground in your special wake-up attack position, any button you press (:h::P: or :K:) will force you to do your special wake-up attack. In Dead or Alive 4, this buffer would last upwards of four (4) seconds after the input has been performed. So you'd have to sit on the ground for up to four seconds before you can safely attempt to tech up or wake-up kick.

Bass has a special wake-up attack by pressing :H+K: with his feet towards the opponent and facing up. If Hitomi holds his :6::H+K: he can't press anything after hitting the ground.

This is especially problematic for...
